Unlock Your Potential!
At TOA Global, we have a deep commitment to empowering individuals to excel in their enterprises, careers, and communities. Our global footprint stretches across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines, supporting our global clients across the accounting, finance, and professional services industries.
We are seeking an analytical and growth-oriented Financial Accountant (Client Accounting Advisory Services) to join our specialized energy-sector finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing accounting pipelines for U.S.-based oil, gas, and renewable energy clients. This position offers a direct path to mastering complex sector-specific workflows, including Joint Interest Billings (JIB), production revenue tracking, and non-operated asset accounting. Operating directly out of our modern facility during US business hours, this is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious accountant who wants to move beyond standard bookkeeping and build a premium, niche career in global energy accounting.
Your Impact
Energy Accounting Operations: Record and process specialized upstream oil and gas transactions, focusing on non-operated asset portfolios. Assist with complex Joint Interest Billing (JIB) processes to accurately allocate joint venture operational costs among working interest partners.
Revenue Stewardship: Manage the production of daily cash receipts and compile comprehensive monthly revenue intake sheets. Ensure that high-volume energy sales, production royalties, and inter-company transactions are tracked, validated, and accurately recorded.
Ledger Control & Reconciliations: Monitor end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable sub-ledgers. Support the fast-paced month-end close sequence by performing balance sheet account reconciliations and identifying ledger variances early.
Data Intelligence & Audit Support: Isolate, measure, and analyze complex financial data sets to support client advisory reporting. Compile meticulous working papers and provide transactional evidence to streamline year-end external audit activities.
Client & Firm Development: Communicate proactively with U.S. client stakeholders to gather financial information efficiently while building trust-based advisory relationships. Participate in year-round professional training to expand your knowledge of the firm's advisory capabilities.
What You Bring
The Experience:Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis, showing a steady increase in the complexity and scope of your assignments. Prior exposure to energy, oil and gas, or multi-entity corporate structures is a significant advantage.
Technical Foundation: A solid baseline understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), double-entry ledger mechanics, and accrual-based accounting workflows.
Excel Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel. You are highly comfortable sorting large data files, utilizing lookup formulas, and constructing clear reconciliation spreadsheets.
Analytical & Detail-Driven: Strong problem-solving skills with a natural talent for data validation, time management, and meeting strict monthly reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication & Professionalism: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. You bring a highly professional demeanor and the personal confidence needed to collaborate with cross-border team leaders and international clients.
The Credentials: A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Financial Management. CPA status or active CPA eligibility is highly preferred and will accelerate your career trajectory.
