Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Lead the successful candidate will be a member of a high performing diverse team and responsible for:
- Process month-end and year-end work papers and journals
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliations
- Contribute to the preparation of Monthly Management Reporting
- Assist with collation of year-end audit queries documentation
- Assist stores and internal stakeholders with general ledger queries
- Credit card administration
- Ad hoc projects as required
Personal Skills & Qualities
The ideal candidate will have:
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent preferred) with 3+ years experience, preferably in retail environment
- Understanding and experience in Australian statutory reporting and obligations
- Understanding and experience in month end reporting
- Experience in using technology for automation and streamlining of systems and processes
- Have strong skills in SAP (or similar large ERP) and Microsoft Office
- Can do attitude and open to learning new things
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Maintain strict confidentiality with financial related records
