Overview:


  • We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to lead our finance function through an important period of transition and growth. This spans to full spectrum requiring a leader who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves in day-to-day operations as they are partnering with the CFO and leadership team on strategy and future direction.
  • You will lead a developing finance team based in Australia and offshore, navigating complexity, strengthening foundations, and helping steer the organisation confidently into its next chapter.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead, coach, and develop a finance team across Australia and offshore locations, balancing capability uplift with delivery
  • Consolidate monthly reporting across multiple global entities and currency
  • Take hands-on ownership of core finance operations including month-end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, AR, AP and general ledger.
  • Prepare and present insightful management reporting to support executive and board-level decision-making
  • Navigate operational challenges while creating sustainable, fit for purpose solutions and strategies for the future.
  • Strengthen governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and ways of working
  • Lead the annual budget, audit, and statutory reporting processes

About You


  • CPA or CA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 7 years of experience in a senior role.
  • Proven experience in a hands-on Finance Manager or Financial Controller role
  • Experience with global companies, multiple entities and currencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to switch seamlessly between operational detail and strategic thinking
  • Experience leading teams across multiple locations, including offshore
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with commercial acumen
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and confident navigating change and ambiguity
  • Strong communicator who can engage and influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Systems-savvy with strong Excel skills (ERP experience highly regarded)
