Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly driven Finance Specialist to manage end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across key projects.

In this role, you will build project-specific financial models, monitor real-time performance, and deliver actionable insights to drive profitability and strategic growth. You will serve as a key finance partner, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize resources, mitigate risks, and guide data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for assigned projects in alignment with business objectives.
  • Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop and maintain project financial models, conduct variance analyses, and evaluate market research, benchmarking, and comparable company data for project feasibility.
  • Performance Monitoring & Risk Management: Track real-time financial performance, establish key project KPIs, and proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks and deviations.
  • Insights & Reporting: Deliver actionable recommendations to maximize profitability and prepare/present concise monthly, quarterly, and project-based financial updates to leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with project managers, accounting, and broader finance teams to ensure precise financial tracking and organizational alignment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting (Energy industry experience is preferred but not required).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with SAP and Anaplan is highly preferred.
