Job Description

This role (Finance Senior Design Specialist - Alteryx COE) is a key contributor to the automation initiatives across all global Finance functions and is accountable for deploying Alteryx solutions which involve design, development, maintenance, and optimization of Finance processes integrated with data from our Finance Enterprise Data Lake and our Infor General Ledger. The role is responsible for deploying straight through processing for journal entries, reconciliations, accounting operations, and other finance processes. As technology evolves, the incumbent is required to adapt quickly to new technology tools, work in a fast-paced team-driven environment and communicate well with business and technical personnel.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to drive automation initiatives that improve workflow efficiency, data handling, and reporting across the organization. Reporting to the Finance Team Manager - Alteryx COE, you will partner closely with business stakeholders and the Global Alteryx COE to design, deliver, and govern automated solutions. Through this role, you will gain hands-on experience in automation design, stakeholder engagement, and technology governance while contributing directly to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with business users to gather and document requirements for automation initiatives aimed at improving workflow efficiency, data handling, and reporting
  • Partner with the Global Alteryx COE to implement governance procedures and support business casing, architectural reviews, risk reviews, and intake documentation
  • Design, develop, and functionally test automated solutions using approved tools and frameworks
  • Create project plans to ensure on-time delivery of automation initiatives
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues identified during testing
  • Prepare training materials and deliver training sessions to end users
  • Communicate progress, updates, and risks to key stakeholders and management
  • Document processes and technical deliverables to promote transparency, continuity, and ease of use
  • Proactively escalate production updates, challenges, and risks in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management
  • Finance or accounting knowledge with experience in accounting operations
  • Strong analytical skills with a desire to become more technically savvy
  • Ability to think creatively and act as a change agent
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Alteryx is an advantage
  • Experience with other automation and analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps
  • Experience in data modeling or writing stored procedures in DBMS systems such as SQL Server
  • Experience analyzing user requirements and managing system testing activities
  • Ability to work effectively with teams across diverse cultures, geographies, and time zones
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, multistakeholder environment
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with aggressive timelines
  • Willingness to work overtime as required to meet business deadlines
