Are you a finance professional who thrives across the full transactional cycle — from invoices to reconciliations We're hiring a Finance Operations Service Specialist to support a client's finance function across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and month-end close. You'll work as a dedicated extension of their finance team, helping keep operations timely, accurate, and audit-ready.

This role suits someone who's equally comfortable owning a payment run, chasing an aged receivable, or tying out a month-end reconciliation — and who's looking for a long-term, fully remote finance role with room to grow.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or billing functions
• Hands-on experience using ERP and accounting systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel capability
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of financial accuracy
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Willingness to work core hours aligned with Australian and New Zealand business hours

STRONG SIGNALS

• End-to-end experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Background in billing and invoicing across multiple projects or accounts
• Exposure to month-end reconciliations, accruals, and prepayment accounting
• Experience supporting Australian and/or New Zealand entities, including GST
• Exposure to financial reporting support

RESPONSIBILITY PILLARS

Billing, Revenue & Accounts Receivable

• You own the accuracy and timeliness of billing and collections activity.
• Check billing events against billing guidelines and convert them into sales invoices
• Create credit notes and review unbilled WIP and expenses
• Monitor aged receivables, follow up on outstanding invoices, and support credit control activities
• Process customer receipts, allocate payments, and assist with customer account reconciliations

Accounts Payable & Expense Management

• You ensure suppliers and employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Process supplier invoices, validating coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Process employee expense reimbursements and corporate card transactions
• Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies, and support weekly payment runs
• Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with delegated authority requirements

Month-End Close & Compliance

• You support the timely, accurate close of the books each month.
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules
• Maintain accurate financial records to support internal and external audit requests
• Support GST-related and payroll tax/statutory reporting requirements
• Assist with payroll reconciliations and broader compliance activities

Continuous Improvement & Systems

• You help make finance operations more efficient over time.
• Identify and help implement process improvement opportunities
• Support finance system implementations, upgrades, and user acceptance testing
• Contribute to documentation and standardisation of finance processes
• Assist with automation initiatives across the finance function
