The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving cost efficiency within a manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in financial planning, cost accounting, and supporting operational decision-making.
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights
- Support strategic initiatives and capital investments
2. Cost Accounting & Inventory Management
- Oversee product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Monitor raw materials, labor, and overhead costs
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Present financial results to senior management
4. Cash Flow & Treasury
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity
- Oversee banking relationships and financing activities
5. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance
- Coordinate internal and external audits
6. Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop accounting and finance staff
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and production teams
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory systems
