Job Description
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Onitsuka Tiger embarked on a new chapter on 1 October 2018, operating quasi-independently within the same legal framework as ASICS Corporation. This strategic shift was in response to the unique operational needs of the Onitsuka Tiger brand. Our goal is to elevate Onitsuka Tiger to the pinnacle of premium lifestyle brands on a global scale. As we strengthen our organizational structure to support our growth in Southeast Asia, we are in search of a dedicated Finance Manager to actively engage in and support our business development initiatives.
The Finance Manager will lead all financial operations, audit, tax and administrative functions for Onitsuka Tiger Philippines. This position is responsible for establishing and overseeing the Company's financial infrastructure, ensuring accurate accounting, effective financial controls, compliance, budgeting, and smooth day-to-day finance operations. The role requires a strategic approach to building and maintaining effective systems and processes that support the organization's growth and success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the overall financial planning process in collaboration with both regional HQ and Japan HQ finance teams.
- Lead smooth operations of finance planning practices to maximize the Company's financial performance (e.g., cash flow, FX, trade finance).
- Lead the finance cycle and accounting process with the support of Onitsuka Tiger Singapore, ASICS Singapore (shared service) and external accounting/professional firms.
- Prepare and review financial reports for statutory, regulatory, and internal management purposes.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and accounting firms to ensure compliance with Philippine statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee credit, collection, and payment policies.
- Provide financial advice to the management team to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Limit of Authority (LOA) management in the organization.
- Manage accounting, regulatory compliance, and tax matters.
- Understand and implement policies from the Regional HQ in Singapore into local practices and processes.
- Collaborate closely with regional teams on reporting, controls, and initiatives.
- Lead process improvements, system enhancements and automation initiatives within the accounting and finance function, including UAT.
- Other adhoc duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent financial licenses are a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Hands-on and self-motivated individual with strong attention to details.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with and deliver solutions to Regional Management.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Filipino (Tagalog).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and adapt to fast changing business environment.
