Finance Manager
Location: Makati City (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a multinational organization in the Philippines. This role is part of the local management team and will report directly to the Country Manager with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Regional Finance Director (Asia).
The ideal candidate is a strong finance leader who can provide strategic direction, improve financial processes and systems, and partner closely with business leaders to drive growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function for the Philippine operations and oversee the local finance team.
- Participate in the development and execution of the company's long-term business strategy.
- Create and implement financial strategies that support business growth and profitability objectives.
- Act as a business partner to the Country Manager and business unit leaders, providing financial insights and commercial support.
- Oversee all financial operations, accounting activities, and shared service center processes related to the Philippine entity.
- Manage financial reporting, statutory financial statements, management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and business outlook planning.
- Take charge of financial management, external audits, tax compliance and planning, cash flow forecasting, capital investment analysis, and business performance evaluation.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regional finance teams regarding funding and financial matters.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
- Review, implement, and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in a managerial capacity.
- Background in audit is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to influence and build credibility across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills with sound business acumen.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and projects.
- Experience in a multinational company with a matrix reporting structure is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
