Position Overview
The Finance Manager / Senior Finance Manager will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Executive Leadership Team, leading all initiatives related to corporate funding, capital raising, banking relationships, financial structuring, and investment analysis.
This role is expected to develop and execute financing strategies that support acquisitions, business expansion, working capital optimization, and long-term corporate growth. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in raising debt and equity financing, negotiating with financial institutions, conducting financial modeling, and managing complex funding transactions.
The role reports directly to senior executives and plays a critical role in shaping the organization's financial future.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Funding & Capital Raising
- Lead all funding initiatives including working capital facilities, term loans, project financing, acquisition financing, and structured financing.
- Develop and execute funding strategies aligned with the company's expansion plans.
- Source financing opportunities from local and international financial institutions.
- Negotiate financing terms with banks, institutional lenders, private investors, and other funding partners.
- Prepare investment memoranda, financing proposals, and lender presentations.
Banking & Financial Institution Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms, government financial institutions, and institutional investors.
- Manage all banking negotiations, credit facilities, and refinancing activities.
- Oversee covenant compliance and lender reporting requirements.
- Evaluate new financing products that improve liquidity and reduce funding costs.
Financial Planning & Corporate Strategy
- Develop sophisticated financial models supporting strategic investments and expansion projects.
- Conduct business valuations, feasibility studies, and investment analyses.
- Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Support executive leadership in making data-driven financial decisions.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Optimize company liquidity and capital allocation.
- Forecast short-term and long-term funding requirements.
- Monitor debt obligations and optimize financing structures.
- Ensure sufficient capital availability across all business units.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare executive-level financial reports and investment recommendations.
- Present financial analyses to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, interest rates, and financing markets.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, Commercial, Supply Chain, Legal, and Executive Leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial guidance on major capital expenditures and expansion projects.
- Lead finance-related due diligence activities for investments and acquisitions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA, CFA, CPA, CMA, or other advanced finance qualifications are highly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Project Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets, or Strategic Finance.
- Proven track record of successfully raising significant debt and/or equity financing.
- Experience negotiating with banks, institutional lenders, investors, and financial partners.
- Experience handling large-scale corporate funding transactions is essential.
- Background from investment banks, multinational corporations, private equity firms, development finance institutions, or large diversified conglomerates is highly preferred.
