The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, reporting, and control for retail operations, including supermarket, grocery, and convenience store branches. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance with regulatory standards while supporting business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor sales, margins, inventory costs, and operating expenses across store branches
- Ensure accuracy of daily sales reporting, cash handling, and store remittances
- Oversee inventory accounting, stock variance analysis, and shrinkage control
- Lead budgeting and financial planning aligned with business targets
- Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations and government requirements (BIR, SEC, etc.)
- Handle audits (internal and external) and ensure proper documentation
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and general accounting functions
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions
- Strengthen internal controls to prevent fraud and losses in store operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance
- At least 5–8 years of experience in finance/accounting, with 2–3 years in a managerial role
- Experience in retail (supermarket, grocery, or convenience stores) is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, inventory management, and cost control
- Familiar with POS systems and retail financial processes
- Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
