Basic Functions
Overall responsible for Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Budgeting, Internal Control, Compliance withlocal tax, SEC and other relevant regulations, Compliance with the Philippine Financial Reporting System.
The Finance and Accounting head shall maintain a professional attitude in the performanceof all duties. Information, written correspondence, and business conversations shall be kept in confidenceatall times.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops the budget in collaboration with the President and other key officers of the company.
- Ensures that internal controls are in place, including but not limited to preparation of monthlybank reconciliations, reconciliation of GL and SL, segregation of duties and responsibilities, maker, checker, officers approval system, others.
- Reviews monthly and ad hoc reports, including but not limited to profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, revenue analysis, cost, and expense analysis, agingof receivables and payables and others.
- Identifies financial risks and manages these through the issuance and implementationof relevant policies and procedures.
- Ensures that accounting books are kept, transactions are recorded in compliance with GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles, and reports to external parties are in compliancewithPhilippine Financial Reporting Standards.
- Supervises cash management activities and implements fund-raising strategies to support capital expenditures and business expansion.
- Communicates, coordinates, and collaborates with the various departments to ensure that thecompanys financial objectives are attained.
- Ensures the efficient running of the department addressing the day-to-day finance and administrative requirements and concerns of internal and external customers.
- Keeps management informed of the companys financial position through regular reporting.
- Coordinates with external auditors in the preparation of the audited financial statements.
- Responsible for financial planning and forecasting.
- Has oversight over payroll, purchasing, accounts payable and disbursements.
- Provides cost and price analysis as a support to the Companys pricing decisions.
- Manages the Companys tax exposures by keeping abreast with relevant tax regulations andensuring compliance with said regulations.
