The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive to support the company's Forecasting and scenario planning, financial analysis, reporting process. The ideal candidate should have strong working knowledge of Philippine accounting and reporting standards, experience in financial statement preparation & analysis, and a high level of familiarity with modern accounting software platforms.This is not an accounting or book keeping role, but a senior level role engaged actively with senior management actively leading the process of preparing forecasts, generating interim and annual financial statements, analysing financial performance the underlying drivers, developing business model simulations and such related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of accounting records and financial reports.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of:
- Income Statements
- Balance Sheets
- Cash Flow Statements
- Ensure compliance with Philippine accounting, reporting, and regulatory standards.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants when required.
- Monitor financial transactions and oversee accuracy of entries and reconciliations.
- Generate management reports and provide financial analysis support as needed.
- Assist in improving accounting workflows and financial reporting processes.
- Present financial reports and key financial information to senior stakeholders and management when required.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with local and expatriate senior management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Total work experience of **2–5 years**, with at least **2–4 years of working knowledge of Philippine accounting and reporting standards**.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and presentation.
- Experience presenting financial reports and financial performance updates to senior stakeholders and management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with expatriate managers and cross-cultural teams.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in lending and financial services businesses is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Philippine tax and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
