Job Description

About the role:

We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to join the senior leadership team of one of our clients and lead the financial direction of their organization.

As Finance Director, you will lead key functions including financial planning and analysis, cash flow and treasury management, financial reporting and compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic business planning. Your expertise will empower data-driven decision-making and unlock value across the organization.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the company's budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop financial models and scenario planning to assess business performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with department heads to set realistic financial targets and optimize resource allocation.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Oversee day-to-day cash flow management to ensure the company maintains sufficient liquidity for operations and growth initiatives.
  • Manage banking relationships, funding sources, and treasury operations to support financial stability and flexibility.
  • Monitor capital requirements and recommend financing strategies when necessary.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and board-level reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements.

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance-related risks.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and risk management frameworks across financial functions.
  • Provide strategic advice on investments, cost exposures, and risk-adjusted decision-making.

Strategic Planning & Business Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in shaping the company's business strategy.
  • Provide financial insights and leadership in evaluating new markets, expansion opportunities, and M&A activity.
  • Support scalability by aligning financial infrastructure and resources with the company's growth trajectory.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
  • CPA license required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within a mid-sized or growth-stage company.
  • Strong command of financial modeling, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead finance teams and influence cross-functional leadership.
  • High level of integrity, strategic thinking, and business judgment.

Working Relationships:

  • Reports directly to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
  • Coordinates with: Leadership Team, Department Heads and Budget Owners, External Auditors and Legal Advisors.
  • Liaises with: Banks and Financial Institutions, Tax Authorities and Regulatory Bodies, External Consultants (e.g., financial advisors, auditors, risk experts), Investors or Board Members (as required.)
