Job Title: Finance Data & Automation Analyst

Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PH Time (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)

Job Summary

The Finance Data & Automation Analyst supports the client's month-end reporting cycle. Working under the Finance Transformation Lead, this individual processes month-end workflows, reconciles billing, meter and ledger data, supports workflow improvements and investigations, and keeps process documentation current.

The role is hands-on and technical. The ideal candidate spends most of their time in Alteryx Designer, Excel and SQL, working directly with billing files, meter data and the general ledger, and ties every number back to source.

Job Responsibilities

Data Validation & Reconciliation (30%)

• Perform month-end tie-out checks: billed volumes against billing files, gate meter volumes against retailer and third-party extracts, and revenue and COGS against the general ledger.
• Validate master data each cycle, including tenant account to gate meter NMI mapping, site and NMI registers, fund attribution and tariff codes.
• Maintain the cross-asset register linking sites to gate meters, tenant accounts, solar and BESS assets, trusts and retailer contracts.
• Check retailer invoices against contracted rates and log variances with invoice-level evidence.
• Produce the monthly exception pack, ranked by dollar impact, with a proposed treatment for each item.

Alteryx Automation, Maintenance & Improvement (45%)

• Prepare and load monthly billing, meter, solar and ledger input files into the Alteryx workflow folders.
• Run the revenue, cost of sales and accrual workflows, review exception logs, and keep a run log of each cycle.
• Prepare site-level and NMI-level profit and loss outputs and accrual journal files for review.
• Debug, test and enhance workflows, and complete acceptance tests against prior-period actuals before go-live.
• Convert Excel and Python prototypes into documented, repeatable Alteryx steps.

Investigation & Financial Analysis (15%)

• Prepare site and NMI-level margin analysis and gross margin bridges, separating accrual timing from real performance.
• Backtest accrual workflows at each close and explain variances by driver.
• Investigate billing anomalies and assemble evidence packs for the billing provider.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer (10%)

• Write and maintain SOPs, build guides and workflow specifications in the house format.
• Maintain a data dictionary for key tables and a register of known data traps and their handling.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or a related field required
• 3–5 years experience in a finance data, financial analysis, billing operations or data analyst role required
• Strong hands-on Alteryx Designer experience (multi-tool workflows, joins, unions, cross tabs, formulas, macros) required
• Advanced Excel, including SUMIFS, INDEX and MATCH, Power Query and auditable workbooks, required
• Working SQL for querying and reconciling relational data required
• Understanding of financial reconciliations and month-end reporting required
• Clear written English and good documentation practice required
• Availability during Australian business hours for the agreed overlap window required
• Energy retail, utilities or embedded network experience (meter data, NMIs, network tariffs) preferred
• Xero or similar accounting system, and Python (pandas) preferred
• Accounting or finance qualification, or Alteryx certification, preferred
