Role Overview

A multinational organization within the ICT and telecommunications sector is looking for a Finance Controller to provide financial oversight across complex, project-based operations.

This is a hands-on individual contributor position with a strong focus on financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, and controllership. The role will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, providing financial visibility and identifying risks, variances, and opportunities that may impact project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Management Reporting

• Analyze the financial performance of assigned projects and provide regular reporting on revenue, costs, margins, profitability, cash flow, and other key financial measures.
• Prepare management-level financial reports and provide insights into significant movements, trends, and performance gaps.
• Conduct actual versus budget and forecast analysis, identifying the underlying drivers behind financial variances.
• Provide financial insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.

Planning & Forecasting

• Manage the financial planning cycle for assigned projects, including budget preparation and recurring forecasts.
• Maintain updated financial projections based on commercial developments and project execution.
• Identify potential margin deterioration, cost exposure, revenue risks, or financial deviations and raise these proactively with relevant stakeholders.

Project Controllership

• Maintain financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate monitoring of project economics and performance.
• Track project financial commitments and ensure appropriate controls are observed across revenue and expenditure.
• Ensure project activities are aligned with established financial governance, internal controls, and company policies.
• Monitor project financial KPIs and recommend corrective measures when performance deviates from plan.

Business Partnership

• Work closely with Commercial, Sales, Procurement, Operations/Delivery, and Collections teams to support achievement of project objectives.
• Provide an independent finance perspective when reviewing project performance and commercial decisions.
• Evaluate financial scenarios and business assumptions to understand their potential impact on profitability.
• Independently manage assigned projects from a finance perspective while collaborating with local and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control.
• Experience within Project Finance, Project Controlling, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Business Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering is highly relevant.
• Strong understanding of P&L, revenue, cost, margin, cash flow, and profitability analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret financial results and communicate key findings to business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.
• Comfortable working independently in an individual contributor capacity.
• Exposure to ICT, telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, engineering, or other project-driven environments is preferred.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting capabilities.
