Job Summary
The Finance Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting key finance functions, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), General Ledger (GL) management, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The role serves as a critical business partner across functions, providing financial insights, driving performance analysis, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making.
This position requires a highly analytical and hands-on finance professional with strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & A nalysis (FP&A)
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
General Ledger & Financial Reporting
- Oversee General Ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.
- Review month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Support external and internal audit requirements.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage corporate tax compliance, tax filings, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure adherence to local statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and government agencies when required.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiency while maintaining compliance.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach, and develop finance team members to achieve departmental objectives.
- Provide guidance and performance management to direct reports.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, HR, IT, and other business functions to support organizational goals.
- Drive cross-functional engagement and foster strong working relationships across the business.
Financial Governance & Process Improvement
- Strengthen financial controls and governance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process automation, and operational efficiencies.
- Utilize data analytics and financial insights to improve business performance and decision-making.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience.
- Proven experience in a people management and leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Transport and Logistics industry is highly preferred.
- Exposure to multinational and matrix organizational environments is an advantage.
- Experience with business intelligence and financial reporting tools is a plus.
