Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance and Operations Supervisor to manage core financial operations and strengthen internal financial systems. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting transparent financial processes across teams, and ensuring high-quality financial and program reporting for donors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Financial Management & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting systems in collaboration with accounting firms and tax advisors
  • Lead monthly financial close processes
  • Track income and expenditures across projects and organizational budgets
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements

Financial Systems & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with internal teams to design and implement transparent, efficient financial workflows
  • Strengthen internal controls and documentation practices
  • Support budget tracking and financial planning processes across programs

Donor Reporting & Grants Management

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors in line with grant agreements
  • Track restricted vs. unrestricted funding and ensure proper allocation of expenses
  • Support program teams in understanding budget utilization and reporting requirements
  • Assist in financial compliance for grants, including audits where required

Annual Financial Reporting

  • Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable standards, and in collaboration with third-party accounting and tax advisers.
  • Support external audits, including coordinating documentation and responding to auditor queries
  • Contribute to board-level financial reporting and summaries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in finance and/or accounting (nonprofit experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience with donor reporting and grant management
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel
  • Comfortable working with a fully remote team
