Your Role

As a Finance and Accounting Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and general ledger accounts are accurately reconciled.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow reports, for stakeholder review.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actual financial results against budgeted figures to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with standard accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) as well as local tax and financial regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and assist with external audit preparation by gathering and organizing required financial documentation.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 to 4 years of solid experience in general accounting, financial analysis, or general ledger management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the regular use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Hands-on experience navigating and working within standard accounting software or ERP platforms (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Xero).
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills for reporting financial insights clearly to team members.

Preferred Skills/expertise

  • Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.
  • Prior experience working within a BPO, shared services, or offshore corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a proven track record of finding and correcting balance discrepancies.
  • Excellent time management skills and a demonstrated capability to meet strict financial reporting deadlines.
