Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives

Oversee the accounting operations of the subsidiary corporations and its other affiliated companies, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures

Formulates plans to improve the company's reporting system and ensure timely delivery of financial reports.

  • Analyse and ensure accurate and appropriate (a) recording of daily transactions; (b) analysis of revenues and expenses and; (c) other financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of company's accounting control procedures
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements, accounting reports and schedule
  • Prepares corporate monthly, quarterly and annual management financial report

Prepares consolidated Financial Statements

  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements as set by BIR, SEC, LGU, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, and other governing/regulatory bodies
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Prepares the annual financial statements and notes to the financial statements of the subsidiary and affiliated companies of the Group
  • Report financial results to the board of directors

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management
  • Strong understanding of Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance (BIR/SEC)
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and communication abilities
  • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
