Finance and Accounting Manager (Insurance Industry)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and operational finance functions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decision-making within the insurance business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business planning
- Supervise general accounting operations including bank reconciliation, billing, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Lead and coordinate internal and external financial audits
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements for operational efficiency
- Monitor operational costs and provide financial analysis to management
- Handle reinsurance accounting and related financial transactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in implementing financial policies and procedures
- Support senior leadership in strategic financial planning and risk management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation is preferred
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Strong background in audit, internal controls, and risk assessment
- Experience in the insurance industry, preferably non-life insurance, is an advantage
- Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
