Role Description The Finance and Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cebu, responsible for overseeing the company's financial and accounting operations. This role manages the preparation of financial statements, supervises day-to-day accounting activities, and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting. The manager leads budgeting and forecasting processes, monitors cash flow, and provides analytical insights to support business decisions. Daily responsibilities include reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, coordinating with external auditors and banks, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves mentoring the accounting team, improving financial processes, and partnering with leadership to support strategic and operational planning.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial results.
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and managing Budgeting processes.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including the ability to analyze trends, variances, and key performance indicators.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP or accounting software is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial accounting role, ideally in a commercial or trading environment.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and guide a finance team.
