Position Title: Finance Analyst - Tax Compliance

Job Summary:
The Finance Analyst – Tax Compliance supports the company's tax and regulatory compliance function. Beyond the regular preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and regulatory filings, this role provides substantial support to ongoing tax cases at the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) and tax audits conducted by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), including the reconciliations and documentation needed to dispute identified tax deficiencies. The role also supports tax-related projects and ad-hoc concerns, including EOPT implementation, the SAP upgrade, dividend declaration tax matters, and tax consultation requests from other departments.
Scope of Work:
- Prepare and file regular monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns and other regulatory reports within statutory deadlines.
- Support BIR tax audits from receipt of the Letter of Authority (LOA) through to resolution – responding to BIR requests, preparing reconciliations, and collating supporting documents.
- Prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation for ongoing tax cases before the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), disputing tax deficiencies identified by the BIR.
- Coordinate directly with the BIR on day-to-day compliance matters, audit requests, and assessment-related correspondence.
- Support tax-related workstreams on the EOPT (Ease of Paying Taxes) implementation and the SAP system upgrade.
- Analyze tax implications and compliance requirements related to dividend declarations.
- Respond to ad-hoc tax consultation requests and inquiries raised by other departments and business units.
- Gather and analyze source documents, accounting records, and supporting schedules from various departments to prepare tax returns, regulatory reports, and responses to tax authorities.
- Prepare draft responses and supporting packages for tax assessments for submission to external tax consultants, who file these with the BIR, CTA, or other relevant authorities.
- Ensure completed tax returns and regulatory reports are routed for review and approval before submission to government agencies.
Job qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy and a certified public accountant
- With external audit experience related to taxation
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Effectively interacts and works with individuals or teams across all levels
- Attention to detail and accuracy is excellent
- Intermediate software skills, includes Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
