Role Overview
Outstaffer is hiring a Senior Finance Analyst to own advanced financial analysis, complex payroll and billing reconciliations, and margin assurance across our Employer of Record (EOR) and value-added service offerings.
This is a senior individual contributor role with clear accountability for margin integrity, cost recovery, and financial insight. The role goes beyond executionexpectation is ownership, judgement, and proactive identification of risk and opportunity.
The core mandate: ensure all employment- and service-related costs are fully and accurately billed to Clients, and that leadership has reliable visibility into profitability by employee, Client, country, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Financial Analysis & Insight
- Lead financial analysis across payroll costs, billing, revenue, and gross margin
- Produce and interpret margin analysis by:
> Client
> Country and jurisdiction
> EOR employee and role
> Value-added services
- Deliver clear variance analysis with root-cause explanations, not just movements
- Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to the Finance Manager and leadership
Payroll & Billing Reconciliation (Primary Accountability)
- Own end-to-end reconciliation of payroll to Client billing at an individual EOR employee level
- Ensure full recovery of all employment-related costs, including:
- Payroll adjustments, back-pay, and FX impacts
- Design and maintain robust reconciliation models and controls
- Identify systemic issues and drive corrective actions across Finance, Payroll, Operations, and Billing
Vendor Cost & Margin Ownership
- Own reconciliation of vendor invoices and usage data to Client charges for value-added services
- Ensure pricing, billing, and cost recognition are aligned with contracts
- Analyse service-level profitability and flag margin erosion, pricing leakage, or cost creep
- Partner with Finance Manager to inform pricing and commercial decisions
Controls, Audit & Risk
- Strengthen financial controls across payroll-to-billing and vendor-to-Client charge processes
- Ensure reconciliations are audit-ready with clear documentation and assumptions
- Support internal and external audits with high-quality analysis and explanations
- Identify financial and operational risks early and escalate with evidence-based recommendations
Process Leadership & Scale
- Lead improvements to reconciliation, reporting, and analysis workflows
- Drive standardisation and automation where possible
- Document processes and train junior analysts or finance team members
- Act as a subject-matter expert for EOR cost structures and margin mechanics
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (mandatory)
- 3-5+ years of experience in accounting roles with substantial financial analysis responsibility
- Demonstrated ownership of complex reconciliations (payroll, billing, cost of sales, or similar)
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, cost attribution, and margin analysis
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets capability (large datasets, complex formulas, structured models)
- High attention to detail with strong professional judgement
- Confident working across multiple systems and cross-functional teams
- Clear, concise communicator able to influence stakeholders
- Familiarity with Xero or similar accounting systems

Experience in:
- Outsourcing, Employer of Record (EOR), global employment, or payroll-driven businesses
- SaaS or recurring revenue models
- Multi-currency and cross-border environments
- Experience mentoring or reviewing work of junior analysts
