Job Overview
A growing organization is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting operations. This role is responsible for preparing tax-related reports, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely submission of statutory requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual municipal tax returns.
- Process tax-related payments, wire transfers, and check requests.
- Prepare weekly and quarterly payroll tax reports and related filings.
- Handle tax deposits and ensure timely remittance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Record and reconcile tax transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with premium tax filings, assessments, and supporting documentation.
- Process state tax payments and maintain accurate filing records.
- Organize, scan, copy, and maintain tax and accounting documents for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support ongoing finance and accounting activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- CPA designation is an advantage but not required.
- Experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using financial or accounting systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of general ledger processes and financial reporting is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
