Job Description

Job Summary

The Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting and managing the organization's day-to-day financial operations while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, accounting standards, and company policies. This role plays a critical part in financial planning, analysis, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management to support informed business decision-making and sustainable organizational growth.

The position requires a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, sound analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to process improvements and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor financial resources, ensuring all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and organizational policies.
  • Perform financial analysis and reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, cost control, taxation, insurance, and credit management.
  • Analyze revenue streams, liabilities, cash flow, and other financial indicators to assess the organization's short-, medium-, and long-term financial position.
  • Support the development of financial forecasts and recommendations to optimize business performance and resource allocation.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and financial instruments to support organizational cash flow and financial objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to management regarding business decisions, regulatory impacts, and financial risks.
  • Assist business leaders in budget preparation, financial planning, and interpretation of financial reports.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, regulatory filings, and management presentations.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of tax returns, statutory reports, declarations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and external advisors to ensure quality service delivery and compliance with financial standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and controls.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Experience interpreting financial data and translating insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Role Expectations

Professionals at this level possess broad knowledge within their discipline and are capable of independently managing specialized projects and activities. They proactively identify priorities, generate their own workload, and require minimal supervision. They may provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to less experienced team members while maintaining accountability for the quality and accuracy of deliverables.

This role is expected to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, reporting practices, and overall business operations.
