About The Company
Our client is a modern strategic finance partner for bootstrapped through Series B companies. They help founders, boards, and investors navigate their most important decisions by combining the wisdom of experience and the precision of data to deliver clarity when the stakes are highest.
They run multiple service lines across financial consulting, diligence, and analytics, and we're scaling. They're hiring a Finance & Operations Associate to own the operational execution behind their client work so they can serve more clients without compromising quality.
About The Role
This is a hands-on execution role with real room to grow. You'll start as the person who turns frameworks
into finished deliverables — populating financial models, formatting client outputs, refreshing recurring
reports, and keeping our project trackers in order. The founder sets the analytical direction; you own the
Build.
If you execute well, the scope grows. Over time you'll own deeper diligence work — including a meaningful share of the analytical work on our buy-side diligence engagements.
The right person is exceptional at Excel and Google Sheets, naturally organized, comfortable with financial data, and reliable in following documented processes. You take pride in clean, accurate, on-time work, and you want to grow into more responsibility as you earn it.
Responsibilities
These are the core responsibilities you'll own from week one and continue owning throughout your time with the company:
- Financial model execution: Maintain and update client financial models in Excel and Google Sheets. Pull data from source systems, refresh inputs, run sensitivities, and produce clean outputs. Build new models from clear specs and existing templates.
- Client deliverable production: Format and polish client-facing outputs — financial reports, diligence summaries, board materials, and analytical decks. Turn rough drafts into final products.
- Data organization: Gather data from clients, public sources, and internal systems. Clean it, structure it, and load it into the right model or report. Maintain accuracy across recurring data pulls.
- Project management: Maintain client engagement trackers on Monday.com. Update statuses, follow up on open items across multiple workstreams, and keep deliverables on schedule.
- Recurring reporting: Own the cadence of recurring client reports and internal dashboards — weekly, monthly, or per-engagement.
- Diligence Edge — Phase I execution: Execute the operational stages of our buy-side Quality of Earnings diligence process: tag bank and accounting data into our standard categories, run the proof of cash reconciliation, build customer and vendor concentration analyses, and run our entity verification (KYB), liens, litigation, bankruptcy, and KYC/AML searches. The founder synthesizes the findings into the client memo; you produce the underlying analysis the memo is built on. Full training and an internal analyst guide are provided.
What You'll Grow Into
These are the responsibilities you'll take on as you prove yourself in the core role. The pace is driven by your performance — strong execution earns expanded scope on the timeline you can handle.
- Diligence Edge — Phase I ownership. Move from executing Phase I tasks to owning the Phase I memo end-to-end — including framing the risk signals, writing the investor-facing commentary, and presenting findings directly to clients.
- Diligence Edge — Phase II. Step into our confirmatory diligence work: financial analysis, Adjusted EBITDA bridges with tiered adjustments, net working capital pegs, debt-like item identification, and tax return reconciliation. This is the analytical core of our buy-side practice and represents real career growth for the right person.
