The Finance & Accounting Supervisor will manage and support financial and accounting operations. He/She will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and assisting in financial planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts.
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Monitor accounts payable/receivable and manage aging reports.
- Assist with audits (internal and external) by providing necessary documentation.
Finance
- Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support in cost control analysis and financial modeling.
- Maintain records for tax and statutory compliance (e.g., TDS, GST, VAT, Income Tax).
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for transactions and reconciliations.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Help implement improvements in financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (Master's or CPA is a plus).
- At least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in a fast-paced and/or start-up environment.
