The Finance and Accounting Specialist supports the day-to-day Finance and Accounting operations by ensuring accurate transaction processing, financial reporting, reconciliations, analysis, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and verify daily accounting transactions, including petty cash, disbursements, billing, sales invoices, credit memos, collections, and accounts receivable.
- Review and validate payroll, allowances, 13th Month Pay, employee final pay, and related supporting documents.
- Monitor purchases and accounts payable, including validation of supplier invoices and preparation of payment schedules and purchase analyses.
- Prepare and maintain transfer cost, pricing, inventory costing, and selling price analyses.
- Prepare annual transfer cost and SRP computations, including analysis of costs, mark-ups, discounts, and related recommendations.
- Prepare and reconcile trial balances, account schedules, and financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and quarterly financial performance.
- Prepare annual financial statements, notes, GIS working papers, and other reports required by management, external auditors, SEC, and BIR.
- Prepare and maintain required financial and accounting reports, including tax worksheets, cash flow reports, purchase books, and other management reports.
- Perform other Finance and Accounting-related tasks as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in General Accounting.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to handle confidential financial information with accuracy and integrity.
