A Finance & Accounting Manager in the food industry oversees all financial operations while ensuring that the company maintains profitability, complies with accounting standards, and manages costs effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Maintain accuracy of general ledger and accounting records
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
Oversee tax filings and external audits
Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Monitor financial performance against budget
Provide insights to management for cost-saving initiatives
Analyze variance reports and recommend corrective actions
- Cost Accounting & Inventory Control

Oversee product costing, raw material cost tracking, and cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) analysis
Coordinate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams
Manage inventory valuation and conduct regular stock audits
Ensure proper cost allocation for labor, materials, and overhead

Monitor cash flow and working capital
Manage payables, receivables, and credit control
Optimize payment cycles and supplier terms

Lead the accounting team
