Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day admin operations so nothing falls through the cracks (emails, scheduling, follow-ups)
- Support finance processes such as invoicing, reconciliations, and data entry (payroll may or may not sit with you)
- Act as a personal assistant to the business owner—managing calendar, reminders, and ad hoc requests
- Identify inefficiencies and suggest better ways of working
- Keep systems and records accurate, organised, and up to date
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders to keep workflows moving
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications (Self-Check)
- 3+ years in a remote admin, finance support, or virtual assistant role
- Experience with tools like Xero, QuickBooks, or similar (for finance tasks)
- Strong organisational skills—you can manage multiple priorities without being told what to do next
- Available during Australian business hours
- Reliable home office setup with fast internet
- Clear, confident written and spoken English
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience supporting Australian businesses
- Exposure to payroll processes (even if not owning it end-to-end)
- Familiarity with project or task management tools (e.g. Asana, ClickUp, Trello)
- Previous experience in a hybrid admin + PA role
