Job Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Accounts Receivable Officer will provide essential support to the finance team by managing day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) functions for Australian operations. This role is ideal for someone with foundational accounting knowledge, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

Duties

  • Perform accounts receivable processes
  • Invoice customers and track receipts
  • Manage customer invoice ageing and collections
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable balance
  • Prepare reconciliation of membership subscriptions, sundry and other debtors, branch clearing accounts, stakeholder commissions, stakeholder loan interest
  • Related party sales workpapers to assist year-end statutory reporting
  • Perform banking processes
  • Daily and monthly reconciliation of cash accounts
  • Process ad-hoc payment files and regular payment batches
  • Process S100 payment files
  • Transfer of funds between bank accounts
  • Process QCPP refunds, including Eftsure verification of bank details
  • QCPP daily banking reports
  • Prepare reconciliation of bank clearing accounts
  • Reconciliation of:
  • Corporate credit cards

Authorities

  • Generation of bank payment files for authorisation

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in AR functions (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).
  • Familiarity with Australian financial regulations and GST/BAS concepts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a shared services or multi-entity environment.
  • Exposure to payroll or expense management systems.
  • Understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements.
