At IQ BackOffice, we are looking for a high-caliber Senior Team Lead to take on a critical leadership role within our Full Service Accounting (FSA) team, supporting one of our most complex and high-demand client portfolios.
This is not a traditional lead role. We are looking for a leader who can own operations, drive performance, lead through complexity, and serve as a trusted point of contact for US-based clients.

What You'll Own
As a Senior Team Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of a client-facing accounting team, ensuring service delivery excellence, operational control, and leadership accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Team Leads and accounting specialists across daily finance and accounting operations.
- Oversee execution of close activities, reconciliations, reporting deliverables, and financial review processes with strong attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, SLA adherence, issue logs, and operational health through data-driven management.
- Provide clear project and performance updates to leadership, with visibility into risks, bottlenecks, and action plans.
- Drive work allocation and resource planning based on priorities, deadlines, and client requirements.
- Serve as a direct point of contact for US-based clients, handling discussions professionally and confidently without relying solely on client services intermediaries.
- Identify process gaps early and implement practical solutions before issues escalate.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members while maintaining strong performance standards and accountability.
- Lead difficult people conversations when needed, including performance management and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Build a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement across the team.
What We're Looking For
We are specifically looking for candidates who can demonstrate mature operational leadership, not just task execution.
Must-Have Competencies
- Proven experience leading accounting operations teams, ideally in a BPO, outsourcing, or client services environment.
- Strong background in general accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statement review, and process control.
- Experience working directly with US-based clients and managing stakeholder expectations professionally.
- Ability to lead through pressure, ambiguity, and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong decision-making, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience managing escalations, driving root-cause resolution, and preventing repeat issues.
- Confidence in handling performance management, including coaching and PIPs.
- Strong command of Excel and operational reporting, with the ability to translate metrics into action.
- High level of ownership, follow-through, and leadership presence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 710 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
- At least 35 years in a leadership role managing teams in an outsourced, shared services, or client-facing environment
- CPA is an advantage, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Amenable to a hybrid work setup in BGC, Taguig
