GAISANO CITY MALLS is a chain of shopping stores and malls located in the cities of Northern Mindanao and Caraga Region. More than four decades, about 48 years ago, a shopping center formerly known as Gaisano Cagayan was first established in 1976 in Cagayan de Oro City by a Chinese businessman Stephen Gaisano Jr. who hails from Cebu. This was the first 3-storey department store in the city of Golden Friendship and became the shopping center of residents from Bukidnon, Iligan, and nearby towns. After 7 years, a new branch of Gaisano was built in Iligan City, and years after, several store branches and malls were opened in CDO, Bukidnon, Butuan, Camiguin, Iligan and Tubod Lanao del Norte.
Through the leadership and entrepreneurial mind of its owner and President Stephen Gaisano Jr., what started small has grown into currently 18 Branches and employing more than 9,000 employees. Role Description
The role is responsible for supporting financial planning, reporting, and business analysis by preparing financial statements, monitoring payments, computing ROI, analyzing profit and loss, preparing sales and expense projections, and evaluating business growth opportunities. It also supports management decision-making through feasibility studies, financial insights, expansion or project recommendations, cost monitoring, inventory accuracy, proper financial documentation, and process or system improvements such as CAS migration or accounting system enhancement.
A. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Computes ROI and prepares financial projections to support business planning and investment decisions.
b. Monitors payments, costs, expenses, and financial controls to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
c. Prepares sales projections, expense projections, profit and loss analysis, financial statements, and related financial reports.
d. Analyzes sales growth and financial performance to recommend possible expansion plans, projects, or cost improvement initiatives.
e. Ensures inventory accuracy and supports proper inventory management, monitoring, and reporting.
f. Assists in feasibility studies, audit support, CAS migration, accounting system implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
B. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
I. Educational Background
Graduate of Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, Business Administration, or any related course.
II. Experience
With solid experience in financial reporting, financial statement preparation, profit and loss analysis, audit support, feasibility studies, and business projections.
