Filipino Language Specialist (Basic Chinese Level)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Filipino Language Specialist.

In this role, you will evaluate Filipino-language responses generated by AI models against original English instructions and reference content. You will identify linguistic, factual, semantic, logical, and cultural issues, classify errors, and improve low-quality outputs to create high-quality training data.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bilingual Quality Evaluation

Evaluate Filipino-language responses generated by large language models by comparing them against the original English instructions and benchmark reference content.

Conduct comprehensive quality assessments in accordance with project evaluation guidelines, with a primary focus on:

* Instruction following and task completion

* Factual accuracy

* Semantic completeness and fidelity

* Grammar and linguistic correctness

* Naturalness and fluency

* Logical coherence

* Cultural and local appropriateness

Identify issues such as:

* Factual errors or unsupported information

* Failure to follow instructions

* Deviation from the intended meaning

* Missing or incomplete information

* Logical inconsistencies

* Awkward, unnatural, or machine-like language

* Inappropriate wording or cultural adaptation

Assign appropriate ratings and scores based on the project's evaluation criteria.

2. SFT Data Annotation and Error Classification

Review model outputs that do not meet the required quality standards and classify identified issues according to predefined error categories.

Error categories may include:

* Failure to follow instructions

* Factual inaccuracies

* Semantic errors or omissions

* Linguistic or grammatical issues

* Logical inconsistencies

* Unnatural or non-native expressions

* Cultural or localization issues

Apply project guidelines consistently and provide clear, accurate annotations.

3. Response Rewriting and Optimization

Rewrite and improve low-quality model responses where necessary.

Ensure revised responses are:

* Factually accurate

* Complete and relevant

* Fluent and natural in Filipino

* Grammatically correct

* Logically coherent

* Appropriate for the intended users and cultural context

Produce high-quality, standardized supervised fine-tuning (SFT) training samples to support the continuous improvement of the model's Filipino-language capabilities.

Requirements

* Native-level proficiency in Filipino, with excellent writing and editing skills

* Strong English reading comprehension and the ability to accurately understand complex English instructions and reference content

* Excellent command of Filipino grammar, vocabulary, style, tone, and cultural nuances

* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle linguistic, semantic, factual, and logical issues

* Ability to follow detailed evaluation guidelines and apply them consistently

* Experience in at least one of the following areas:

* Translation or localization

* Linguistic quality assurance (LQA)

* Editing or proofreading

* Language quality review

* Content evaluation

* AI data annotation or AI training

* Ability to work independently in a remote environment

* Reliable computer and internet connection
