Position Summary
The Field Operations Supervisor / Port Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational activities at assigned ports and sub-ports for the E-TRACC program. This role oversees field marshals, site monitoring personnel, device technicians, and reverse logistics staff to ensure smooth arming/disarming of GPS devices, device maintenance, inventory control, and compliance with Bureau of Customs (BOC) reporting requirements. The Supervisor ensures operational readiness, staff scheduling, asset accountability, and adherence to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of assigned port and sub-ports, ensuring adequate staffing of armers, disarmers, device maintenance personnel, site monitoring teams, and spotters when applicable.
- Plans and supervise reverse logistics activities for devices requiring return, repair, or replacement.
- Create and implement weekly staffing schedules based on container volume, vessel schedules, and arrival patterns.
- Monitor ongoing operations to ensure timely arming/disarming of containers and immediate response to operational issues.

2. Staff Supervision
- Supervise field marshals, device technicians, and monitoring staff to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to protocols.
- Authorize and manage overtime based on operational demand; cancel overtime when unnecessary to control costs.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
3. Inventory & Asset Management
- Serve as primary custodian of all GPS devices assigned to the port and sub-ports.
- Maintain accurate records of operational, non-operational, and in-transit devices.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure accurate recording of new purchases, imports, and asset transfers using the company's Inventory Application.
- Report any missing, damaged, or lost devices immediately and prepare incident reports for submission to the Operations Manager.
4. Technical & Operational Support
- Perform pre-arming preparations including charging, initialization, and GPS connectivity tests.
- Provide on-site support to BOC personnel and coordinate closely with customs officials as required.
- Document all operational issues and escalate unresolved problems to the Technical Support Group or Operations Manager.
- Maintain logs and records of open and closed issues for operational tracking.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit weekly trip reports to BOC and other agencies as required.
- Prepare summary reports for completed trips, containers with alert status, and inventory updates.
- Ensure all operational activities are compliant with E-TRACC policies and BOC requirements.
6. Continuous Improvement & Other Duties
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and asset security.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards at operational sites.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- At least 1 years of supervisory experience in port operations, logistics, field service management, or alike.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Has knowledge in inventory management systems and basic MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of GPS tracking systems and E-TRACC operations is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
