Job Description

Job Description

Responsible for bridging design and physical implementation by driving technical quality assurance, vendor site supervision, and advanced system commissioning for COREnergy assets. The role conducts pre-scoping site audits, structural/room measurements, and data-logging deployment while performing rigorous on-site inspections to verify structural, mechanical, and electrical build quality against engineering specifications and safety standards. Additionally, the Field Engineer executes final system commissioning, high-voltage safety testing, performance validation, and configures localized digital energy management software (EMS) and automated control systems to ensure zero safety infractions, rapid commissioning cycle times, and complete punch-list resolution prior to commercial operation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; passing the Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) board exam is highly preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of field-based experience in technical site auditing, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of commercial electrical or solar assets.
  • Hands-on proficiency in reading single-line diagrams (SLDs), deploying data-logging equipment, and taking structural roof/room measurements.
  • Deep technical expertise in high-voltage safety testing, inverter configurations, and commercial switchgear.
  • Competence in programming, configuring, and activating digital energy management software (EMS) layers and localized automated control systems.
  • Strong adherence to zero-harm field safety practices (LTI prevention) with a track record of driving strict quality assurance and meeting project timelines.
