FCC Operations Lead

Your Role

The FCC Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Bank's exposure to financial crime risks are effectively managed / mitigated and the FCC Operations team is operating in accordance with the prescribed program, framework and the relevant rules and regulations.

Your Impact

A. Day to day management and oversight of the FCC Operations (i.e. transaction monitoring, transaction screening, and name screening alerts management, AML investigations, covered transaction reporting and suspicious transaction reporting) to ensure that the processes are implemented in accordance with the methodology, standards / SLA and to ensure that there are no delayed regulatory reporting

B. Governance and oversight of the functions outsourced by MPI FCC Operations to MBB and/or external service providers to ensure that SLAs are met, and ensuring that the FCC Unit is compliant with the outsourcing requirements of the Maybank Group

C. Supervision of FCC Operations team members including but not limited to productivity and performance monitoring, attendance monitoring, training, assessment of training needs, performance review and coaching

D. Timely escalation of potential and/or actual gaps, breaches or issues identified within the FCC Operations to the FCC Unit Head and providing assistance to the FCC Unit Head in completing the root-cause analysis, recommending action step and implementing preventive / corrective measures, including timely voluntary disclosure to regulators if applicable

E. Development of remediation plan to address self-identified gap as well as internal and external compliance review and audit findings and ensuring timely and effective implementation of remediation activities within the FCC Operations

F. Developing new and/or updating the existing policies, procedures and operations manuals of FCC Operations to ensure that the unit is always compliant with relevant rules and regulations

G. Continuous implementation of process and systems improvements and streamlining initiatives to ensure that both productivity and quality targets are met and systems are compliant with regulatory reporting requirements and standards

H. Providing sound advice and guidance to internal stakeholders with respect to subject matter / topics relating to FCC Operations

I. Active participation in Group FCC and Group Compliance initiatives and projects which involve FCC Operations and

J. Completing any other tasks related to the discharge of the FCC function that may be assigned from time to time

Your Profile

• Bachelor's / University degree or equivalent experience.
• With AML Compliance experience in the Banking Sector
• Must be knowledgeable about AML, CFT and sanctions rules, regulations and industry best practice
• Must be knowledgeable about banking operations, products and transactions
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PPT
