Fashion Designer – Leather Belts & Bags

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with experience designing leather belts and bags. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fashion trends, leather materials, product construction, and creating designs that are both stylish and commercially viable.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop leather belts, handbags, and other leather accessories.
• Create original concepts, sketches, technical drawings, and product specifications.
• Develop designs based on brand requirements, current fashion trends, and target customers.
• Select appropriate leather, hardware, colors, textures, and other materials.
• Create detailed design specifications for manufacturers and production teams.
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately produced.
• Review samples and recommend design or construction improvements.
• Research fashion trends, competitors, materials, and new design ideas.
• Maintain organized design files, specifications, measurements, and product details.
• Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining the overall design direction.
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, preferably specializing in leather goods, bags, belts, or accessories.
• Strong knowledge of leather materials, hardware, stitching, construction, and finishing.
• Ability to create fashion sketches and technical/product drawings.
• Experience developing products from concept through sample/prototype stage.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of proportions, measurements, and product construction.
• Good understanding of current fashion and accessory trends.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Portfolio showcasing previous bag, belt, leather goods, or accessory designs is required.
