Job Summary

The Failure Analysis (FA) Technician is responsible for delivering high-quality failure analysis of power supply units and their components. This role ensures timely, accurate, and reliable FA results, which the factory team uses to drive improvement and containment actions. By supporting productivity, yield, quality, and cost targets, the FA Technician contributes significantly to overall operational performance. This position will report to Failure Analysis Supervisor / Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

1. Failure Analysis and Troubleshooting

  • Conduct failure analysis on units and components submitted for FA, ensuring all are processed within the allowable timeline (e.g., not exceeding 20 days in the FA area).
  • Perform troubleshooting to identify root causes and deplete units for analysis, meeting the target output per model.

2. Scrap and On-Time Delivery (OTD) Management

  • Minimize FA-related causal issues and maintain compliance with established scrap and OTD targets.

3. Compliance and System Conformity

  • Follow internal procedures and standards, including 6S, Environmental Management System (EMS), and Electronics Industry Code of Conduct (EICC).
  • Always complies on Quality and Safety standards.

4. Reporting and Documentation

  • Accurately document FA results and maintain complete, detailed records for reporting and traceability.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Provide actionable insights from FA findings to support factory-wide improvement and optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Vocational / Technical course graduate preferably Electronics, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical or a related field
  • With at least 2 years experience in manufacturing FA from manufacturing/electronics/semiconductor companies.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as Digital Multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, LCR meters, and other diagnostic instruments.
