Job Description

This is a generic job description for multiple positions within our facility engineering team. We are hiring engineers with design and field experience in anyone of the following areas:

. ACMV / Cleanroom HVAC

. Process Utilities (chilled water, PCW, exhaust)

. Water Systems (UPW or WWTP)

. Gas & Chemical Systems

. Electrical (power distribution)

. Controls & FCMS (SCADA/PLC)

You do not need expertise in all areas. You only need deep, hands-on experience in at least one discipline and a willingness to coordinate across disciplines. Each team member owns their domain we collaborate as a group to deliver end-to-end facility solutions.

Weare looking for engineers who want to move beyond siloed roles and become facility engineering specialists - bridging design intent with real-world field execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-House Engineering Design (Within Your Discipline)

Depending on your core discipline, you will:

  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for your assigned facility systems (e.g., HVAC, water, gas, electrical, or controls)
  • Develop, review, and optimize designs for your discipline area within our core fab systems - whether that is ACMV/cleanroom, process utilities, water, gas/chemical, electrical, or controls
  • Ensure your designs comply with SEMI standards, local codes, and semiconductor industrial facility benchmarks

2. Multidisciplinary Coordination (As a Team Member)

  • Coordinate with colleagues across Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Gas, Controls, and Cleanroom disciplines to eliminate design clashes - each of you bringing your own domain expertise.
  • Review subcontractor and vendor detailed designs for technical accuracy, spatial routing, and constructability within your area.
  • Participate in technical workshops, 3D model coordination meetings, and formal design reviews.

3. Construction & Subcontractor Interface

. Work closely with subcontractors during construction, installation, and site execution

. Resolve site technical issues, routing conflicts, and design discrepancies under real-world conditions

. Support RFI responses and engineering clarifications within your discipline

. Ensure installation aligns with design intent and commissioning requirements

. Participate in site coordination meetings and progress reviews

4. Commissioning & System Readiness Support

. Ensure your systems are designed with commissioning in mind (proper test points, isolation valves, maintenance accessibility)

. Support FAT/SAT preparation and execution for your systems

. Assist in troubleshooting, system validation, and stabilization during startup

Technical Skills & Experience Requirements

Core Requirements (All Candidates)

. Industry Experience: Proven background in facility engineering or design within a semiconductor fab, cleanroom, or related high-tech industrial environment.

. Domain Expertise: Strong engineering design capability in at least one of the following domains:

  • ACMV/HVAC: Chilled water, air handling systems, and cleanroom air balancing.
  • Water Systems: UPW production and WWTP engineering.
  • Gas Systems: Bulk, toxic, flammable, or specialty gas piping and delivery matrices.
  • FCMS & Controls: SCADA/PLC interfaces, instrumentation, and hook-up control signaling.
  • Electrical: Power distribution, single-line diagram design/review, and load calculations.
  • Electrical: Power distribution, single-line diagram design/review, and load calculations.

. Software Proficiency: Hands-on capability in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks for design validation and spatial coordination.

. Standards & Commissioning: Working knowledge of SEMI standards and commissioning principles (FAT/SAT, system turnover).

Discipline Note

We are hiring fora team, not a single hybrid role. If you have strong design and field experience in any one of the semiconductor facility disciplines listed above, you are encouraged to apply. Cross-disciplinary knowledge is a plus but not required.

Key Attributes

  • Strong construction mindset (not purely office-based engineering)
  • Problem solver in real-world site conditions
  • Comfortable working with subcontractors and vendors
  • Detail-oriented but practical engineering approach
  • Able to bridge design intent and field execution

. Team player who collaborates across disciplines
