The Facilities Manager shall lead the operations and efficient implementation of Facility-related policies and work instructions. Perform and create an accommodating and safe work environment for employees. Ensure building's services meet employee's needs. This role ensures systems in the built environment work together as they should, that building's facility fulfill their intended purposes. Establish efficient work processes and creates strategy in integrating technology relevant to the company's needs
What You'll Do
- Leads and liaise with other department to resolve any FM (Facilities Management) operational issues and other department issues which relates to FM.
- Manages the various aspects of Property/Office Handover and Defects Liability management for Infrastructure and Common Areas from an FM perspective.
- Manages and develop a clear strategy which provides a proper handover from construction to operations.
- Ensure that Facilities Management outlines the requirements during construction stage.
- Overall responsibility for managing the service provider and ensure that the service is delivered in line with the contract / SLA relating to FM.
- Participate in the selection of contract services, vendor negotiation of service agreements and evaluate bidder tender proposal documents in relation with Facilities Manageme n t.
- Evaluate service provider performance and activities thru periodic audit and identify needs for improvement or changes.
- Budget Management. Budget preparation and monitor spending. Liaising with Management and Finance for approval of the budget.
- Sets and monitors operational budgets and implements cost saving strategies
- Plans, Strategizes and Manages various Facilities projects.
- Supervises team members, to ensure if they adhere to the company's policy and standards in achieving its goals.
- Anticipates issues, prioritizes and plans the team for a proper action plan and ensure that they are completed within set deadlines
- Delegates work with clear work instructions and provide performance feedback to team members.
- Organizes departmental meetings to regularly update colleagues and resolve issues as a preventive measure to possible problems and conflicts.
- Develops operational strategies, procedures to ensure well managed and well-maintained Facility.
- Leads & develop staff, communicating work schedules, driving performance objectives & providing professional development.
What You Need To Have
- At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role with BPO/corporate or in a large facility management company.
- Must have solid technical skills and Property Administration skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Good organizational skills and forward planning ability.
- Ability to resolve problems under pressure and be decisive
- Flexibility and adaptability to execute the needs of the business
- Self-Motivated, Keen to details and excellent leadership & people management skills
- Ability to handle conflicts or challenging situations confidently.
- Ability to provide coaching, feedback and critical thinking
- Ability to utilize available resources effectively.
- Mastery over construction projects & project management, can drive for change and with high sense of ownership & responsibility
- With a background in financials, negotiation, pricing and/or profitability
