The Medical City South Luzon is looking for a Facilities and Engineering Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of hospital facilities, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant facility services that support uninterrupted clinical and administrative operations aligned with government regulations and environmental, health and security standards. This role supervises Facilities and Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, Environment of Care and Biomedical Engineering functions, ensuring service reliability, operational improvement, and implementation of best practices for the hospital.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee facilities and engineering operations, ensuring uninterrupted infrastructure and systems in compliance with regulatory, health, and safety standards.
- Manage outsourced service providers, setting performance standards and monitoring SLAs across facilities, engineering, and housekeeping.
- Oversee renovation, expansion, and alteration projects, ensuring compliance with approvals and project management standards.
- Direct housekeeping and contracted services to maintain a clean, safe, patient-centered environment.
- Oversee laundry and linen operations, ensuring supply, quality, and infection control compliance.
- Manage facilities budgets and expenditures, optimizing costs while maintaining service quality.
- Implement asset management and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and accreditation standards through audits and risk mitigation.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and best practices.
- Partner with clinical, administrative, and support departments to align facilities services with operational needs.
- Lead and develop the facilities and support services team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PRC-Licensed)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in facilities management handling large-scale facility or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with Local and International Building codes, Joint Commission International (JCI) standards, or equivalent, is an advantage
