Role: Facilities Coordinator
Job Description
  • Oversee daily upkeep of classrooms, offices, common areas, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
  • Monitor cleanliness and sanitation standards; coordinate with janitorial and housekeeping teams.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and other systems.
  • Respond promptly to repair requests and emergencies to minimize disruption to school activities.
  • Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and Department of Education (DepEd) requirements.
  • Maintain records of permits, inspections, and safety certifications.
  • Support the implementation of the school's safety and emergency preparedness programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance logs, service agreements, and asset inventories.
  • Support procurement processes related to facilities and equipment.
  • Provide logistical and facilities support for school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities.
  • Coordinate room setups, furniture arrangements, and AV equipment as needed.
  • Ensure facilities are prepared for daily classes and special programs.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Property Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in facilities coordination or maintenance, preferably in a school or educational institution
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment and building systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Physically fit and able to lift/move office equipment or supplies when needed
  • Willing to work onsite (Ever & HSP branch) and on shifting schedules (if required)
  • Amenable to render overtime and work during weekends or holidays for urgent support needs.
