Job Description

  • Conducted design engineering for faade systems and provided build-ability consultancy, incorporating material knowledge and installation techniques.
  • Perform detailed engineering computations and structural analysis specific to faade elements.
  • Advise clients on faade design considerations, providing comprehensive reporting on building projects.
  • Ensure compliance with weatherproofing requirements, detailing solutions according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Oversee the preparation of all faade documentation, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Review contractor submissions, including shop drawings and calculations, to ensure adherence to design intent.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, including administration and coordination of project activities.
  • Foster relationships with clients and industry contacts, representing the company's expertise in faade engineering.

  • Timely completion of faade design engineering tasks, meeting project milestones.
  • Accuracy of engineering computations and structural analyses for faade elements.
  • Client satisfaction ratings based on the quality of faade design advice and reporting.
  • Compliance with weatherproofing standards and effective implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Efficient production of faade documentation, minimizing errors and revisions.
  • Contractor submissions are reviewed within specified timeframes, with high levels of accuracy.
  • Successful project management, including adherence to budgetary constraints and reputation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience as a Faade Design Engineer.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing, with a focus on technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of faade performance solution design and documentation, compliant with NCC2022 and the Building Commissioner's Handbook.
  • Experience in condensation modeling using WUFI software.
  • Familiarity with faade fire rating requirements and reporting procedures.
  • Competence in developing performance solutions to meet F3P1 standards.
  • Expertise in faade analysis and modeling engineering software such as STRAND7, SPACE GASS, MathCAD, and CAD such as AutoCAD and Rhino.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant Australian Standards, including AS1170, AS3600, AS3700, AS4100, AS4654.2, AS1288, AS3500, AS1664, and NCC2022.
