The
Fabrication Manager is responsible for the
end-to-end management of
sheet metal fabrication for electrical enclosures and switchgear. The role exists to ensure that production — spanning
punching, bending, stamping, welding, surface treatments, powder coating, and assembly — is executed with precision, efficiency, and quality to meet customer commitments.
Within the organization, the Fabrication Manager is the critical link between engineering requirements and manufacturing output. The role directs a multi-disciplinary team to align production capacity with business demand.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Production Operations Management: Manage and direct the day-to-day fabrication operations across all processes to achieve on-time, on-quality, and on-cost delivery of electrical enclosures and switchgear products.
- People Leadership and Team Development: Build, lead, and develop a high-performing fabrication team through effective capacity planning, performance management, coaching, and the cultivation of a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence Lead and drive structured continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fabrication efficiency, reduce lead times, eliminate waste, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Resource and Inventory Optimization: Ensure the optimal planning and utilization of labor, materials, and equipment to minimize waste and control production costs, in close coordination with the PPIC Coordinator and Inventory Controller.
- Quality, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure all fabrication activities are executed in full compliance with applicable quality standards, safety regulations, and engineering specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related fields; PRC license is a plus
- At least five years in fabrication/manufacturing, with three years in a leadership role
- Hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication (punching, bending, welding, and assembly) or in plastic fabrication
- Strong background in production planning, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of quality systems and safety standards
