F&B Training Specialist

Job Description


The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating training programs that develop the knowledge, skills, and performance of CBTL team members. This role partners closely with Operations to ensure all café teams consistently deliver exceptional customer experience while adhering to brand and operational standards.

Learning & Development

  • Design, develop, and update training programs, learning materials, and facilitation guides for store team members and leaders.
  • Facilitate onboarding, foundational, and refresher training for new hires and existing employees.
  • Support the rollout of new products, seasonal campaigns, operational initiatives, and company policies through structured training programs.
  • Ensure all training materials align with CBTL brand standards and operational requirements.

Store Training & Coaching

  • Conduct regular store visits to observe operations and identify learning opportunities.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching to Baristas, Shift Supervisors, Assistant Store Managers, and Store Managers.
  • Partner with Operations Managers to address performance gaps through targeted development plans.
  • Reinforce customer service excellence and operational best practices across all stores.

Performance & Training Evaluation

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training through assessments, observations, feedback, and operational performance.
  • Monitor training completion, certification, and compliance.
  • Prepare reports and recommend improvements based on training outcomes and business needs.

Training Administration

  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, certifications, and learning documentation.
  • Track employee training progress and ensure mandatory programs are completed on time.
  • Coordinate training schedules, venues, materials, and logistics.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on learning and development trends and recommend innovative training approaches.
  • Continuously enhance training programs to improve employee engagement, operational consistency, and customer experience.
  • Support leadership development initiatives and succession planning for store operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, or Operations, preferably in the food & beverage, retail, or hospitality industry.
  • Experience in classroom facilitation, coaching, and instructional design.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willing to travel and conduct training across store locations.
