Role Description The External Audit Senior Associate is a full-time role responsible for leading and executing audit engagements for various clients. This hybrid position is based in Makati, with a mix of on-site client work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include planning audit procedures, performing risk assessments, testing internal controls, and reviewing financial statements in accordance with professional standards. The Senior Associate supervises junior team members, reviews their work for accuracy and completeness, and provides coaching and feedback. The role also involves coordinating with client management, preparing audit documentation, identifying issues and recommendations, and contributing to the timely completion of engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, and financial reporting frameworks (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).
• Experience in external audit, including audit planning, risk assessment, internal control testing, and substantive procedures.
• Proficiency in using audit and productivity tools (e.g., audit software, spreadsheets, and presentation tools).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including supervising staff, delegating tasks, and providing guidance and feedback.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred or in progress.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Makati, manage multiple engagements, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
