Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven External Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and oversee audit teams within a professional services firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services, providing strategic insights to clients, and supporting the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and oversee multiple external audit engagements from start to completion
- Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders
- Review financial statements, audit documentation, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Identify audit risks, evaluate internal controls, and provide value-added recommendations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop senior and junior audit team members
- Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring efficient delivery
- Report to senior leadership on engagement status, issues, and key findings
- Ensure compliance with auditing standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required
- Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant external audit experience
- Proven experience managing audit engagements and leading teams
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in reviewing and finalizing audit reports and deliverables
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
