External Audit Manager (Big Four)

Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced External Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The role will work closely with clients and audit teams while providing technical guidance and developing junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review financial statements and audit working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify audit risks, and develop appropriate audit procedures.
• Supervise, coach, and provide technical guidance to audit associates and senior associates.
• Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and engagement status to clients and senior management.
• Manage multiple engagements and ensure timely completion within agreed budgets and deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting, auditing, and regulatory standards.
• Support business development and other firm initiatives when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license is preferred/required depending on the engagement.
• At least 5-7 years of external audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 or reputable auditing firm.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS and Philippine auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and client-management skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup in Makati.
